NEWS AND EVENTS
Every semester we host a Barefoot Serves event for campers 3rd-12th grade. Join us November 7th from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. We will be helping to serve at various service sites around Nashville. After we come back from the service sites, we will have lunch together and enjoy some fellowship, worship, and games as a group.
Plan to join the Barefoot family as we become the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Remember to wear clothes you can get messed up or dirty.
We will be meeting at First Presbyterian Church (4815 Franklin Pike; Nashville, TN 37220)
Invite your friends!
On Friday, December 4th, make plans to join fellow Barefoot family members from 5:30 – 8:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church (4815 Franklin Pike; Nashville) for our 5th Annual Christmas Party. The festivities will include a tasty chili cook-off dinner (let us know if you can bring chili, cornbread, dessert, etc), caroling for Fannie Battle Day Home, hot chocolate, desserts and fun activities for the whole family. Please RSVP to Cali@barefootrepublic.org
Mark your calendars now for this annual tradition! You won’t want to miss it!
Last year, we kicked off our inaugural 5K in East Nashville. Understanding the impact Martin Luther King Jr. had on calling for racial freedom, celebrating diversity and creating unity, Barefoot Republic wanted to host an event using those themes as the ground work for bringing people together. Knowing the large running and exercise community that exists in Nashville, this is a great fit. Join the cause. Take a stand for unity. Run for diversity. Join us in Nashville on January 18, 2016. You can make a difference. Visit www.5K4MLK.com to find out more details or to register.
Run Barefoot is a team of runners and walkers uniting to support the mission and vision of Barefoot Republic Camp. When we run, we are changing a child’s life by providing scholarship support for hundreds of youth in need of financial assistance to attend Barefoot Republic Camp. Participants are comprised of campers, volunteers and supporters that represent various churches, schools, corporations and organizations in middle-Tennessee and beyond that compete with and against each other in the Nashville’s Rock & Roll Marathon’s and half marathon. Training kicks off in January.
